What tools are needed for this DIY conversion?

You will need a screwdriver, drill and a set of drill bits as well as a 4″ bi-metal hole saw to drill through the bottom of the firebox.

Will this kit work with my Brazos offset smoker?

Yes. This kit is specifically designed for the Brazos.

Will this kit work with my Pecos offset smoker?

Yes. Because of the large wheels on the Pecos, the firebox attachment will need to be position further towards the back in the firebox. Also, for the slide-in stack extension you will need to grind/cut the existing damper off.

Can I use this kit if I don’t have a Brazos or Pecos offset smoker?

Possibly. Depending on your existing offset dimensions, this firebox attachment may be able to work for you. The stack extension more than likely will not work with a different offset than Brazos or Pecos. Reach out with your questions, we may be able to accommodate.
